Process for identification of and dealing with allegations of research misconduct
Publisher and editors of Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology are reasonable to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred, including plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification/fabrication, among others. In doing so, Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology follows COPE’s guidelines in dealing with allegations.
Ethical Guidelines for Authors
1. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Manuscript Preparation
Authors may employ Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, Deepseek, ...) to assist in manuscript preparation, provided the following conditions are strictly observed:
• Transparency: Any use of AI tools must be clearly disclosed within the manuscript, preferably in the Acknowledgments or Methods section.
• Responsibility: Authors retain full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all content generated or supported by AI tools.
• Authorship: AI tools cannot be listed or credited as authors. Authorship requires substantial intellectual contribution, accountability for the content, and the ability to participate in the peer-review process.
• Prohibited Uses: The use of AI tools to fabricate data, generate false or misleading information, produce fake references, or rewrite existing works without proper citation is strictly prohibited.
• Verification: Authors are encouraged to carefully review and verify all AI-assisted outputs to ensure factual correctness and compliance with ethical and academic standards.
2. Academic Misconduct and Plagiarism
The journal upholds a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any form of academic misconduct, including but not limited to:
• Plagiarism: Copying or reproducing text, ideas, figures, or data from other sources without appropriate citation.
• Duplicate Submission: Submitting the same or substantially similar manuscripts to more than one journal simultaneously.
• Data Fabrication or Falsification: Manipulating, inventing, or misrepresenting research data or results.
• Violation of Ethical Standards: Any behavior that undermines the integrity, transparency, or reliability of the research process.
All submitted manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software. In cases where academic misconduct is identified:
• The manuscript will be immediately rejected.
• The authors may be prohibited from future submissions to the journal.
• The authors’ affiliated institutions may be notified when deemed appropriate.
• Additional actions may be taken in accordance with the journal’s ethical policies and international publication standards.

Conflicts of interests
All Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology Editorial Board members and the Editor-in-Chief submitted articles are gone under the same reviewing process as the other authors gone. In the cases that a reviewer suspects undisclosed conflict of interest in a submitted manuscript or a reader suspects undisclosed conflict of interest in a published article (all authors are filling the ICMJE Form for Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest at the submission time) Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology will follow COPE’s guidelines.
Revenue sources/Advertising/Direct marketing
Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology is financially supported completely by Tarbiat Modares University, Iran, and has no other sources for earning funds. Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology accepts No advertisements in the site or even as a report article.
Author fees/Access
There are No Fees or Charges at all for submission, reviewing and publishing processes in Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology.
Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology follows the Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing.
Ownership and management
The Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology belongs to Tarbiat Modares University of Iran and is managed and published in 6 issues by SinaWeb Co.
